Your config.sys was,

Suggested by Jeff:
DEVICE=C:\QEMM\QEMM386.SYS RAM ST:M X=FE00-FEFF I=0400-0FFF VIDRAMEMS <More>
^^^^ ^^^^^^^^^^^ ^^^^^^^^^
Use if possible to give the ......| | |
most high RAM. | |
| |
This paramter will make the "mappable area larger.......... |
|
Allow use if VIDRAM.COM in the AUTOEXEC to make the video area ......|
"Mappable".
<More QEMM386 command line parameters...> X=D000-D400

You may need to eXclude your network card's .........|
BIOS address's.
Al Woolley: The ST:x function is NOT compatable with all systems, including
mine. Since this CONFIG will be used by many sysops without understanding
much of what it really does, I had kept the bells and whistles down to the
bare minimum.
Your I-0400-0FFF suggestion is Very Good. I had completely forgotten about
that one!
VIDRAMEMS is somthing I was unaware of. It sounds good though! I will try it
out and see what happens.
I specifically avoided network cards or networks in general in the disscussion
as I have 0 experience with them. It would be great for someone to write
the WC!LANT.DOC equivelent of my MNODE.DOC for Lantastic and WC!NOVL.DOC
for running WC! with Novell.

WHY? IT DOESN'T
HELP UNDER DV.
A WASTE OF HIGH RAM!!
AW: Well, I happen to like my non-DESQview DOS sessions to have bright green
letters on a blue background. ANSI.SYS is the only way to do this.
The DVANSI program doesn't work the way the ANSI.SYS in DOS does, so I
blow the 2K of RAM and load it. For me it is worth it.
